M/I/K/A\D/O/S is a light installation created for the facade of La Julienne in Geneva. Composed of 16 illuminated mikados, each measuring 5 meters in length, the installation invites viewers to explore its dynamic interplay of form, light, and space from multiple perspectives.
The mikados are arranged to form an immersive tunnel of light, encouraging visitors to pass through and experience the structure from within.
The arrangement of the mikados was first conceptualized in 3D software, where we placed them randomly to mimic the organic chaos of sticks falling from the sky. This randomness was brought to life in the physical installation, creating a balance between digital precision and real-world spontaneity.
